Care Giver Training under GOI PTA Grant
RSSC has successfully completed the caregiver training under the project “Home/Community-Based Long-Term Care: Care and Support for Older Persons (A Pilot Project in Thimphu)”, funded by the Government of India under Project Tied Assistance and implemented by RSSC in collaboration with relevant partners.
The training was conducted from 23rd April to 6th May 2026, during which 16 caregivers, including youth volunteer caregivers, were trained. The trained caregivers will provide home and community-based care services to senior citizens who require daily assistance, especially those who are living alone without caregivers. The service will also support family caregivers by providing them comfort and respite after years of caregiving responsibilities.
RSSC would like to sincerely thank the Faculty of Nursing and Public Health for successfully conducting the training. Your support enabled us to complete the program on time, and we look forward to continued collaboration in the same spirit in the future.
