The Royal Society for Senior Citizens as a public Benefit Organization (PBO) shall strive to promote the wellbeing and comfort of senior citizens of the country so that they enjoy a meaningful and dignified life.
 
The Royal Society for Senior Citizens is governed by a Board of Trustees. (BOT)
 
The number of the Board has been fixed at 18 members which was the number of retirees who received the Command and met for the first time to decide on the establishment of the organization.
 
The Board members and office bearers are elected at the Annual General meeting for a term of two Years.
 
The Office Bearers of the BOT comprises of the President, Vice President, Treasurer and the Secretary who will serve as the member Secretary.
 
The Society may have chapters at local community levels including at the Dzongkhag level, Dungkhag and gewog level depending upon the number of members in those communities.
 
Any person above 56 years may join the Society as a member.
Members shall not expect any benefits from the Society but be willing to actively participate in the programs of the society and when necessary volunteer their services for the cause of the senior citizens.
 
The Members shall pay a onetime registration fee of Nu.300/= and an annual membership fee of Nu,1800/-
 
The source of funding of the society will be the membership fees and any contributions from the general society /donors and any fund raising activity of the society.
